Tata Indicom launches Blackberry in India

TATA INDICOM has launched its new prepaid services for Blackberry users in India. It is claimed to be an industry first, BlackBerry users on the Tata Indicom network now have the option to switch to a cheaper prepaid plan and to customize their plan according to their needs - that too on a weekly basis.
Under BlackBerry Messaging Bundle service plan, customers will get unlimited access to e-mail and instant messaging. It allows customers to access as many e-mail accounts on Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Google Mail and chat on popular messengers like Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger. BlackBerry also supports various formats like Microsoft Word (.doc), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt), Microsoft Excel (.xls), Adobe pdf (.pdf), Corel WordPerfect (.wpd), ASCII text (.txt), ZIP Archive (.zip).

Airtel's new Smart HTC-3G on the row

RECENTLY AFTER  the launch its latest Apple iPhone-3GS on March 26, this year, Bharati Airtel has come up again with a brand new idea to launch its HTC smart phone 3G priced at Rs. 9,990, by this year end. The largest cellular service provider also announced its exclusive partnership with Taiwan-based smart phone manufacturer HTC on Tuesday. The new HTC smart phone 3G is based on the U.S.-chipset maker Qualcomm's Brew operating system.

The company hopes to sell 3 lakh HTC Smart phones this year. The integration of HTC lends to it a sense of reliability too as it is one of the leading touch-screen manufacturers. It also incorporates the latest cutting-edge features and sports a 2.8-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive high resolution screen and a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack.
